Bluetooth remote operated dtto snake robot

Hi guys

I've been looking for a new robotics project and I found a couple I would like to try. But the main like is a self reconfigurable dtto snake bot. Found here...

There seems to be plenty of documentation for the build and I can see it uses a wireless transceiver system to control the different parts of the chain.

But I would like to give it a wireless remote system that can be used to tell the boys what's to do instead of pre-programming.

What would be the feasibility of this?

Seems like I could run a few gpio pins to a Bluetooth and make a controller with the another Bluetooth that transmits any button press to the bots onboard Bluetooth to enable commands.

It is possible to find a lot of examples on internet. Maybe it is not about Dtto v2.0 Modular Robot but you can configrute it to your project easly. No need to know programming very well just understand the arduino using and do it.
