Bluetooth & Wifi simultaneously ?

Hi all,

Im a NooB at this Arduino stuff. I want to create a simple Bluetooth 4.0 beacon receiver which will detect a specific beacon and then send a message over WIFI to a cloud service..

I could use a raspberryPi but I thought of using a Arduino as I want it to be low power (maybe solar?) . Anyway.. Looking at the different bluetooth / wifi module they all appear to connect to the tx/rx pins of the arduino, so Im not sure,.. can you have both?? im sure you cant use the same pins

any advice?

asantaga: . can you have both?? im sure you cant use the same pins

Yes & correct. There is probably more than one way to communicate, but the most obvious is to have one module on serial and the other on separate pins using software serial.
