Can I use BME680 sensor and arduino nano 33 ble sense?

The BME280 works with the Arduino Nano 33 BLE. From the interface the BME680 is the same. I use the Adadfruit libraries for both sensors (the BME680 is on another Arduino compatible board). I found the additional gas sensor not very useful. The value is not predictable for a static environment. I can see variations over time but the absolut value does not show a reliable pattern. I read similar things from other users. Temperature, pressure and humidity work fine.
Maybe the gas sensor would be useful when build into a moving object like a smartphone. Then it would be exposed to faster changing conditions.
