Installing board for Nano IOT on Windows 10 local IDE. After install board from board manager, item on list but is grey and not selectable. (SAMD 32 bit ARM Cortex-M0+)
Tried uninstall and reinstall IDE from Windows App store and from zip. No Joy.

That's not a board. That's the section heading for the Arduino SAMD Boards. It's not meant to be selectable, so what you are seeing is normal and expected.
You need to select Tools > Board > Arduino Nano 33 IoT.
