I am running 2.3.3 and the filter on the board manager is not working. I have uninstalled and reverted back to 2.3.2 and it did not work and then reapplied the update to 2.3.3 and it is not working. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Figured it out. You can't have the serial monitor open when filtering.
Hi @jscupstid1962. The bug in the Arduino IDE 2.3.3 Serial Monitor has already been fixed. So the next release of Arduino IDE won't have this problem.
Until then, you can use the workaround you discovered of closing Serial Monitor before performing an operation that would otherwise hang due to the bug. If this is disruptive to you, the fix is already available in the latest nightly build of Arduino IDE. You can download the nightly build from the links listed here:
