Boards.txt cannot be found

Hi there,

For quite some time I have run into the following issue. It is not a big problem as I can use the IDE without problems, but it is annoying and not correct. Maybe one of you has had the same nagging thing and found the solution.
Whenever I try to update in the boards manager, I get this error message:
<Could not find boards.txt in C:\Users\JB\AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\arduino\hardware\avr\1.6.18. Is it pre-1.5?>
I have tried to copy boards.txt from a folder 1.6.19 to folder 1.6.18, but that doesnot do the trick either.
I even do have a folder 1.6.20, but in the boards manager in the IDE I have 1.6.18.........?

Who knows how to solve this?

You should only have one version installed at a time. Maybe the Arduino IDE's Boards Manager didn't fully remove the old installation when you updated to the new version. You can delete the old versions but please be careful when deleting things on your computer. When in doubt back up!
