Boolean Broken 015? Illuminato

I tried to run the code here http://arduino.cc/en/Reference/BooleanVariables

but im getting

error: 'boolean' does not name a type In function 'void loop()':

when I try to run it??

Boolean broken with the Illuminato core?

I think the word false needs to be in capitals.

Boolean broken with the Illuminato core?

What is "Illuminato core"?

Thanks, Brian

The boolean type definition for “boolean” is in wiring.h, as are the definitions for “true” and “false”.

The example is correct. For some reason your development system is not picking up or finding the right header files, so the compiler doesn’t know what boolean means.

There is a “verbose” mode you can run in that might give you more information. Of course, we are not sure what you are actually doing, as per the last comment regarding “Illuminato core” so you might need to start from the beginning and show what you are really doing.

I bought a Illuminato http://www.liquidware.com/shop/show/ILL/Illuminato set it up as instructed to tried to run this code as a test http://arduino.cc/en/Reference/BooleanVariables and i got that error error: 'boolean' does not name a type In function 'void loop()':

is there something missing in the core files?

try "bool" instead of "boolean"

You are correct.

The wiring.h for illuminati does not include these typedefs:

typedef uint8_t boolean;
typedef uint8_t byte;
