boost converter current limiter

Is there such a thing as a boost converter current limiter? Like a boost CV CC (constant voltage constant current). I want to keep the output of my set of 6 AA batteries at 9V but limit the output current to about 300 mA.

Actually, I would prefer to set my output voltage to not go below 8V, but that seems like a buck-boost converter with current limiting would be needed... and that seems more like hen's teeth.

Thanks

Maybe this chip comes close: http://www.ti.com/product/tps63070/datasheet

Ta! Not sure if "with switch current" means current limiting, but seems like the goer at first look! Short of killer drones, TI has all the good shniz built into mm^3 packages.

That converter doesn't have any programmable current limiting. You'll need to look for something else, or apply some external analog conditioning to the feedback signal.
