question number one: If I were to want to get rid of the bootloader from the arduino uno, would I get rid of the delay at the start of the reset every time the arduino resets?

question number two: How do I do this (I know how to undo this)?

  1. yes.
  2. get a programmer, and use File:Upload using programmer. Sketch is downloaded via the ICSP header, and starts immediately after reset.

I have an AVR programmer, I didnt realize using it would get rid of the the bootloader.
