BP Monitor

Hi everyone,

I have no knowledge of programming and very little of arduino boards but I have been told that they might be able to help me with my current project.

What I need to do is to get the data from a blood pressure (BP) monitor into Max/MSP. I have bought a cheap BP monitor and had a look inside but I have no idea what to look for. I can't find the one I bought on the internet but I would be willing to buy another if it were more suited to my needs. One of my tutors mentioned that I might be able to hook the BP monitor up to an arduino board by intercepting the analog signal before it gets converted into a digital signal to be displayed on the LCD. Unfortunately I have no idea how to do this or if it would work.

I realise this maybe the wrong place to make a post like this but if anyone has any information that might be useful to me I would be very grateful.

Cheers,

Danny

I'm afraid it's impossible to give you any advice on the specific BP device you bought without a circuit diagram or similar documentation.

The BP monitor I bought did not come with a circuit diagram and I cannot find it on the internet but I would be willing to buy any BP monitor that would suit my needs.

I Hope this helps.

Danny

If you can get a BP monitor with a serial port it would probably be easy to interface it to Arduino.
