Totally new to this whole Arduino thing. I mean, I've heard about it in the past, but never had a desire to build one until I got into robotics. Anyway, is it possible to use shields with the breadboard version of Arduino?
Thanks!

Easy answer, No.
There is a screw up on the arduino such that some of the pins are out of line with standard 2.54 mm (0.1") spacing. Shields are made to fit the Arduino and breadboads are all correctly aligned on 0.1" centres.
If you want to use a shield that uses the mis-aligned header on the Arduino, you will either need to use male/female jumpers to connect the shield to the breadboard, or build an adapter PCB to re-align the pins so it will fit the breadboard.
Oh okay.
Thanks guys!
