Rural area, DSL and satellite is the only option available. I got DSL for less lag while playing game. Basic 5 down, 0.5 up for $20 a month. Games are fine, can stream a single FHD video but major download like new Linux distro or major game patch can take all day
Hi,
I'm about to get mine reviewed, OPTUS have automatically reviewed my NBN regularly and some improvements have been made.
But other ISPs seem to be offering much better deals, so as a long time customer I'm going to try and screw them for a good a deal as I can get.
I have to go into the OPTUS Shop just up the road to prove what day I was born.
When my wife passed away over 3 years ago, I went in and got the contract changed to my name, at that point they had my date of birth correct, that way I could ring or online and pay them and stuff like that.
The other month I rang up to check my account, my birthdate was invalid, quick thinking I then used my wife's birthdate, bingo it worked.
Not sure how it got changed, but to fix it I have to go into an OPTUS Shop and get it rectified.
My current deal is similar to @ TheMemberFormerlyKnownAsAWOL
But nowhere near as cheap and we have dropped the landline.
