Where is int main() defined as weak ? and what about main return value ?

I have been looking at some other posts which relate to the hidden function: int main() which effectively does the work to call void setup() once and then repeatedly call void loop(). It appears to be located in a main.cpp in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino... folder on windows 10. This is, according to other posts, defined as weak which essentially means it can be replaced with another function called main() written by the programmer that does something different.
