Building an Arduino-compatible in The Philippines...

If you're in the Philippines, or more specifically, in Metro Manila, Philippines, building an Arduino-compatible on a solderless breadboard is a better option than importing a board from outside the country.

From what I understand, there's no general rule that an Arduino-compatible board has to be built for Arduino Shields. Parts in the above picture can be purchased, locally, in Manila, Philippines. The USB-to-UART board can be substituted with a Nokia CA-42 Data Cable, but a 5 VDC power supply would have to be built.

Alexan stores have ATmega8L DIPs!!! e-Gizmo no longer has any DIPs.
