Building Google Plus Arduino User Group Circle

I am looking at ways to use G+ and thought it would be useful to set up an Arduino User Group Circle.

If you are interested in posting interesting links you find, projects you are working on or using the "Hang Out" for informal chats on what you are doing send me a note.

How would that offer more than what this forum offers?

A good question, I don't see this as a replacement for forums by any means. I would see g+ as offering the ability to interact on a more social level with a group of Arduino users in a virtual user group.

A user might want to share a small win with a small group of Arduino users but not really feel it is forumworthy for communications to the masses. Also there is the Hang Out feature which would allow for a video chat with a small group of people to find out more about what they are doing and learning with the Arduino.

I'll pass on that. Not enough hours in a day.

+ripmad I like the idea about the G+ circle. I've also done something similar with Ham Radio. I too realize its not for everyone, and probably would not have time for Huddles (never know) but it could be another helpful forum to supplement this forum.

There is nothing wrong with exposure when you're new to a discipline/field/hobby. When I began learning Linux several years ago, I perused man pages and forums to learn. It keeps the innovation going.

So far, I have not found many hits in Arduino over on G+, so I'd welcome a circle invite. Look me up (via my Arduino handle)
