Burn bootloader without Arduino board?

I have a USBTiny and I was wondering the best way to program the bootloader onto an ATMega328 without the Arduino board? Can I just use AVRDude? If so, where is the bootloader file? Thanks

Yes. /hardware/bootloaders/*

Even if you don't have the Arduino board you can still use the IDE to upload the bootloader, once you've wired up the IC.

Correct indeed. I'm using the USBtiny and burning bootloaders from the IDE to 168s and 328s chips just mounted to my solderless breadboard. Just needed to wire a crystal and caps up and even let the tiny power the chip, works great.

I call avrdude from a Makefile to burn bootloaders. I type
"make" to compile the bootloader and "make isp" to burn
it.
