Hi all,
I wanted to try my stepper motor (28BYJ-48) on my Uno following this:
https://dronebotworkshop.com/stepper-motors-with-arduino/
Also see my attachement.
My Uno was plugged to my PC's USB port and the power supply module to a 9V1A. My power supply module was on 5V mode. I used a ULN2003 Stepper Motor Driver Module.
Since I did (it did not work):
- None of my usb ports are working on my PC (windows code 10 in device manager, and my BIOS doesn't recognize them as well).
- My PC doesn't shut down anymore. Instead, the screen goes black, like it is in sleep mode, but if I leave it a night on battery, it is empty in the morning. I have to force stop. I can still reboot normally, though.
- Even if my USB ports don't detect anything, they are still powering my Uno.
- My Uno is still working, I tried it on my raspberry pi with another sketch.
I think (I don't remember completely) that I forgot to put the ground on the Uno (see red cross on the attachment) but I am not completely sure. I am also not sure that my power supply was even ON. I am sorry for the incertitude, I am new in electronics and got confused when it happened.
- Does it sound familiar to anyone?
- Was do you think happened exactly?
Thank you very much for your help,
Nicolas
