burning bootloaded on Atmega TQFP package [SOLVED]

Hi All,

I am having trouble burning the arduino boot loaded on a TQFP32 package via ISP here is how the pin connections are made on the PCB to the Uno

PCB(TQFP32) UNO

MOSI (Pin15) -> MOSI (D11)
MISO (Pin16) -> MISO (D12)
SCK (Pin17) -> SCK (D13)
GND -> GND
RESET (Pin29) -> Pin 10

What could be possibly wrong with this ?

My TQFP32 package is this IC from digikey. Would that be the reason.

I once again tried connecting the PCB RESET pin to Pin 10 on the arduno and got the below

The board you have selected in the Tools > Board menu when you did the Burn Bootloader is defined as having an ATmega328P but the microcontroller on your PCB is the ATmega328, thus the error. But not to worry! All you need to do is:

The bootloader is ok now but when trying to upload the sketch via the UNO i get the following error

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

I have 1K resistors in series for the Rx and Tx pins, was suggested to add it to prevent reset when connecting a Rx and Tx pins.

Would that be a problem ?

Removed the 1K and it worked. The 1K should be replaced with 22R resistor though.
