Burning bootloader issues

Hi,

using IDE version 1.0.5 and and USBtinyISP programmer, I have issues burning the bootloader to a SparkFun Pro »Mini 3.3 V card:

  • The IThe just hangs: it 'works' for ever and I have to kill the IDE
  • Afterwards, I can't upload sketches to the board
  • Will I be able to burn the bootloader after repeated fails ?

What's wrong with burning the bootloader, and is it normal that nothings get written to the bottom window ? I thought that progression would write something at the bottom (upload and compile are set to verbose).

you said quite a long time, how much can that be, 10 minutes, more ? Is it normal there is no feedback on the progress ?
