Burning bootloader slower on M2 vs intel

Hello

Just upgraded from an Intel 2019 Macbook Pro to an M2 Max Macbook Pro

Burning bootloaders to Leonardo boards which is significantly slower using my shiny new mac compared to my old one

Any ideas what could be the issue, I redownloaded Arduino and installed fresh on a clean operating system

Also get a new error just on the M2 Mac even though the bootloader burns fine

Writing | ################avrdude: error: usbasp_transmit: Broken pipe
avrdude: error: wrong count at writing ffffffff

Which programmer do you use (I guess USB-ASP but want to check)? What does "significantly" mean?

I hope you didn't expect it to be faster  .
