Hello,
I recently got an Arduino Pro Mini (5V/16MHz). After soldering it, I tried to upload my sketch, however, I got the following error.
stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
I am uploading the sketch using an FDTI cable. I know the sketch and the FDTI cable are functioning correctly because I have uploaded the same sketch on another Arduino Pro Mini (that I also soldered) and it was functioning.
After a few Google searches I determined that it must be a missing bootloader. The problem is similiar to this thread ("Programmer is not responding" when uploading to Pro Mini - Installation & Troubleshooting - Arduino Forum).
I attempted burning the bootloader already but didn't work. I got the following error.
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x03
....(all the way up to attempt 10)
Below are the connections I used. I also selected "Arduino Pro Mini" as the board, the processor as "ATMEGA328, 5V, 16MHz" and the programmer as "Arduino as ISP".
Functioning Pro Mini | Non-Functioning Pro Mini
VCC --> VCC
GND --> GND
D10 --> Reset
D11 --> D11
D12 --> D12
D13 --> D13
How come I am not able to burn the bootloader, is it even possible to burn the bootloader using another Arduino Pro Mini?
Your help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
