Hello, I have followed the instructions of Gammon Forum : Electronics : Microprocessors : Atmega bootloader programmer for burning a bootloader into a UNO card via a Mega2560 card but I always failed; I have not the screen showing where you must press "G" ...
I have not needed to setup and run the programmer on a mega yet. So not sure if your libraries and configuration is correct.
But if I had hit the results you have shown I would double check and reread the programmer pages again on the Gammon forum. But I would also us as a alt check the board detector sketch.
So have you tried the ATMega board detector sketch to see it your link between board is working proper and your identifying the chip correctly. This sketch just checks things (not programmer) so is a quick check that should help figure is your have programmer setup up issue hardware or configuration http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/?id=11633
Yes, I have wired as the picture and even try two ways to upload the "Atmega_Board_Programmer" sketch; one without wiring the UNO to the Meaga2560 and a second with the UNO wired on the Mega2560 but I have the sames results it does not work, maybe I have forgetten somethings?
one without wiring the UNO to the Meaga2560
I'm very unclear how that would work. Can you please post a photo of what you are doing?
