I'm trying to make a simple flute to play the same note from a midi pattern sent from my computer.
I'm still trying to figure out how to make the blowing mechanism.
The idea to blow air in different rhythm & length patterns.
What kind of a air compressor would I need and how can I tell it when to burst air and for how long?

You just sent the MIDI note on and off messages to your Arduino and when it receives the one you chose to activate your blow you turn on or off the air through a solenoid.
I don’t know about the options about a compressor but I suspect it will involve pressurising some sort of air reservoir.
2 important parameters are important: Maximum, working preassuere and liter per minute.
Investigate what You need.
