Burst Transmission of 1.5A GSM Chip.

Hi,

I've been working on a iot application Where i'm using Quectel M66 Chip for accessing to the internet via GPRS, The Chip is using 1.6A of current at the time of burst transmission the time of acquiring the signals and registering to the network, But due to some factors (like the space requirement is less) i can only use 800mAh of battery in the system. The chip is using only a second or two for burst transmission
and my battery is unable to supply that much of current and M66 Gsm chip is Auto Shutting down.

I read some where to attach a Capacitor at the power terminals of which it charges and gives upto 1.6A of current for few seconds,Is this will help me.? if yes! can anybody tell me how to calculate the value of that capacitor
