i need a breakout for a button, but i can only find for led tactile buttons (LED Tactile Button Breakout - BOB-10467 - SparkFun Electronics). Will they work for regular buttons (12x12x6mm Momentary Tactile Push Button Switch for Arduino) too?
Click on one of the LED buttons on the Sparkfun page. Then go to Document -> Drawing. Then you can compare the dimensions with the button switches you have.
the distance between pins are the same. The led buttons have 2 more pins on the sides that regural buttons don't. This won't affect the positioning of the button in the breakout, but i don't know if it won't function because of this.
p.s. I dont want to put this in abreakboard, but as it's own board
Have a look at the PCB pictures you can clearly see the traces. The LED and the button are connected to separate pins. B1 and B2 connect to pin 1 & 2 of the button and A and C connect to the LED pin on the bottom layer.
