Byte-level serial proxy for mac?

I am trying to use AS3's "Socket" class which allows sending actual bytes, instead of strings like the "XMLSocket" class used to.

Serproxy does not transfer the bytes that do not correspond to a letter or number character.

I tried to use SS6, but it won't run. It keeps giving me errors like:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /Library/Java/Extensions/libSerial.jnilib:

Anyone know of an alternative?

Could you please tell us what "AS3" and "SS6" are?

Try searching the web for references to java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /Library/Java/Extensions/libSerial.jnilib. A similar error occurs with the Arduino IDE on OS X if things aren't setup right.
