Dear all
I am planning to build time switch based on RTC. As battery backup i would like to use C2032 ithium battery.
i would like to know what will be recommended circuit to avoid quick drain of battery and give better life of battery.
Is there any recommended ckt for this type application.

The datasheet of your specific RTC no doubt has a reference circuit.

I'd have said, just buy a DS3231 module and use that e.g. : https://www.ebay.com/itm/Arduino-DS3231-ZS042-AT24C32-IIC-Module-Precision-RTC-Real-time-Clock-Memory/401093092939
If you use the cheaper, non rechargeable CR2032, you are advised to disable the charging circuit by removing the resistor or diode near the SCL label by the 4 hole header block.
You should get a battery life of anything up to 10 years.
