I was reading all that carefullly and I need small help for my project. i'm using an arduino to control 5 leds indicators. Each indicators run 4 chains of 4 reds leds, and 4 chains of greens leds. So one indicator in one color means 120ma. 5 together means 5*120ma=600ma.Each led is 3v so one inicators is 12v.
My problems are :
How to provide 12v/120ma to my indicators when an arduino output is limited to 40ma/5V. Using a external powersupply i guess. But how ot connect it to have the arduio switch leds on ?
I'm using currently 10 pins (5 per color). Is there a way to reduce that. A multiplexer as far I understood. any sample or that somewhere? any reference to buy it ?
