first project patience please. Im makinhg a board to control my canon550d.all going well I need to control my Vivatar 283 seperatly to the camera but tied to the camera sequence..The volts on the 283 seem to vary arround 400v dc.I
ve tried useing

I've got a couple of 283s, one with a trigger voltage of around 180V, the other only about 6V.
I use MOC3020 to trigger them. Very easy to drive, I haven't played with them for a while, but drive them as a LED, and a pulse of as short as one microsecond will trigger the output.
