Can 10uF cap be used with LM3940 5V to 3.3V voltage regulator ?

hello,
i would like please to know if is it okay to use 2 capacitors of 10uF with LM3940 voltage regulator 5V to 3.3V like the 5V regulator ? and which other options can be ? 0.1uF ? ... ?

thanks in advance

You realize that all you are doing is asking us to read the datasheet for you.

The datasheet recommends using 0.47uF on the input pin to GND and 33uF on the output pin to GND placed as close as physically possible to the regulator.

Using a 0.1uF on the input and 10uF on the output, as you are asking only accomplishes 1 thing. It's better than not having any caps at all but it's not what the manufacturer recommends.

Lesson#1: Always use the datasheet
Lesson#2: Don't second guess the datasheet
Lesson#3: Don't ask "guys on the street" for advice for things you already know the answer to as most of it is probably wrong (meaning US here) and cause you to second guess what you know.

Final Lesson: Don't use the part unless you are willing to get and read the datasheet.

thanks for your reply, you're totally right, i forgot to mention that i read it, but i have seen some examples from google that uses the 10uF, and because the 0.47 and 33uF are not available for me at the moment, so i asked maybe it might work

Work with what you have (or may have):
Three 10uF in parallel are 30uF (close enough for "33uF").
Five 0.1uF in parallel are 0.5uF (close enough for "0.47uF").

hehe thanks Runaway Pancake good advice, i went on and bought the 33uF and 0.47uF because i have no space to use more
