Not particularly wanting to destroy a Mega 2560 board and an Ethernet shield, I noted that it appears that the the Ethernet shield pins pretty much line up to the left and right socket pins on the Mega board. Can the Ethernet shield be plugged into the Mega board leaving some of the Mega pins unused of course?
