Can Arduino be used for Time base correction on video.

I have been wondering if Arduino could be used for recreating the function of Time base correctors and frame sync that is found in old analog hardware, I am given to understand that standalone TBCs are becoming hard to find as are VCRs with the function built in, so I learned how to work with Arduino I could recreate the functions with more control.

I know it's old tech but it's still important to some people so I figured it might be a good project to learn Arduino for.

I'm going to say, no. I don't know exactly how these things work but the Arduino's analog-to-digital converter is too slow for good-quality audio so it's too slow for video, and there is no built-in DAC. Even with external ADCs & DACs, I'd guess the Arduino wouldn't be fast enough.

You're talking about analog video, so I'd guess that TBCs are mostly-analog, possibly with some digital circuitry for timing.
