Can Arduino do CON statements?

Hello, Years ago I did some programming in basic and we used CON statements to make the code easier to read and I was wondering if that can be done with the Arduino IDE?

 Is_Ok CON 0
 Is_Too_Low CON 1
 Is_Pressed CON 0
 Is_Not_Pressed CON 1
 Is_Needed CON 0
 Was_Confirmed CON 1
 Yes CON 1
 No CON 0
 A_Power_Failure CON 0

CON just defines a constant.

In C++, you can use 'const' or 'define'.

const byte bVal = 53;
const int iVal = -1054;
const unsigned int uiVal = 800;

#define Is_Ok           0
#define Is_Too_Low      1
#define Is_Pressed      0
#define Is_Not_Pressed  1
#define Is_Needed       0
#define Was_Confirmed   1
#define Yes             1
#define No              0
// or
const bool Is_Ok = 0;
const bool Is_Too_Low = 1;
const bool Is_Pressed = 0
const bool Is_Not_Pressed = 1;
const bool Is_Needed = 0;
const bool Was_Confirmed = 1;
const bool Yes = 1;
const bool No = 0;

'const byte' is the best choice for pin allocations, although 'define' can be used.

const byte ledPin = 13;

Is this what you are asking for?

define Is_Ok 0 // Is_Ok will take on the value of zero

Edit Steve is up I'll go to bed :sleeping:

Larry, you know I'm always up. :D

Thanks Steve, Define is working good. That should make my code a little more readable. Thanks Again jessey
