Can I charge a 3.7v 1000mah battery with 4.2v 600mah?
I was gonna charge this: 3.7V 1000mAh Rechargeable Battery LiPo Li Polymer Three Wires Thermistor 504045 | eBay

Via USB C but connected to this step down: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283293477579

Thanks!

To charge a Lithium battery you need to use a charger.

You have shown us a link for a power supply, which is not a charger.

Where in the World are you ?

I couldn't read the battery link. Next time use the insert link icon. On my computer it's about in the middle of the Post tool bar. Hover over it and it will show "insert link"

In general you need to control both voltage and current to charge a lithium battery. My battery requires:

  1. voltage limited to 4.2 V
  2. the current limited to 600ma.

The current limit means that even if you short the charger, the charger will not supply more that 600 ma. Most supplies do not do this. When they say they are capable of 600 ma that is not the same a saying it will limit the output to 600 ma.
