Hi there
Is there anyway to connect my Arduino to my iPad Air, as I would prefer to use the iPad to program the Arduino.
Hope someone can help, bye
Dave
I don't think it's possible .
Check the Lightning Serial Cable (L2-DB9V)
It connects a Lightning iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to RS-232 serial devices at baud rates up to 115.2 Kbps.
I have been going to try and buy one, but it is a bit down on my purchase list.
I have seen a few articles on using this cable connected to an Adruino.
And had heard that you can load Sketches with it.
Thank you for the advice,
I think I need a bit more knowledge about serial and usb and lightening connectors to go any further. More googleing for me over the week-end. I will also need a way an App to get the file (program) from iPad to Arduino via the cable? Is there such an App?
Well wish me luck, bye
Dave
Check "Arduino Compiler HD" in the APP Store.
I have not tried it nor downloaded it as I have not bought the cable yet.
There also is a couple others listed as "Arduino Uploader HD" and "Arduino IDE"
Some other interesting things for Arduino exist.
Search the APP store for Arduino control, Arduino compiler, Arduino companion.
I have tried a few of the other stuff, just not gotten to the compilers
The ones i've seen on the app store usually have wifi connection (for arduino Yun )
