I've already repaired one toy (a dancing animal...) that had the same problem, but now got another toy that my daughter has dropped and the sound has stopped working.
Both use these speakers (attached image) and the magnets fell out of place. On the first one, I used some superglue to hold it in place and it still works, so plan to do the same with this.
But I was just wondering if it is technically wrong or not. And if not, why on earth do they fall out so easily?!!

Sounds like a good plan. They fall out because they are using the wrong sort of glue. Super glue doesn’t work well on certain types of plastics. I would try a latex based glue like copydex, as it will flex slightly while still holding.

ah thanks, I just wasn't 100% sure they should be glued in at all, but I'll look around at what glue I've got and have it ready for when she comes home from school. at least now I've taken it apart I know I can do it again fairly easily as it's otherwise nicely laid out inside. The dancing toy was SO badly made, each time I started putting it back together another different wire snapped off from one of the 3 small pcbs in it connected by a mess of the thinest wire... seriously, the kids who make these things must have really tiny hands! (Sorry, bad taste but also sadly probably true!)
