Using the SIM7600CE-T 4G(LTE) for building a prototype, using MQTT/SSL to connect to AWS IOT.
My question is, is it practical to keep the SIM7600 connected to the cell provider (Hologram) 24 x 7? I expect I'll have code that monitors the connection and will reconnect if/when connection drops.
I'm new to these cellular modems and just wasn't sure if it's practical, reasonable to keep them connected 24 x 7.
I suppose the amount of data you send/receive corresponds to the fee you are paying to use the cellular service. In that case, it may not be practical or cost effective to be continuously sending data.
Well actually it's not that we're continuously sending and receiving data. It's just that we need to be connected and ready to receive data that is the issue.
