Can i operate 2 BLDC motors with an motor shield?

Hi I have a question, I would like to build a robot that will be operated with two BLDC motors (If it works) , these need a controller if I now plug the cables from the controller into the motor shield (L293D) does it work like with normal DC motors?

Kind regards

Which motors and controllers?

No.

That driver from stone age can not drive BLDC motors. Such motors need special modern ESCs.

This implies that the OP knows a controller is needed. If that's what is meant, then the shield would not be needed. OP please clarify!

I Just want controll the tow Motors control independently but I don't know how.

Please post a datasheet for the motors you want to use or a link to one.

Thanks. Those are brushed motors actually and they come with an ESC which is the controller. You should be able to drive the controllers direct from an Arduino pin with a 5v logic level. These ESCs require a short variable length pulse to set the speed. You do not need a motor control shield.

Hi,
What are you using as a power supply for the motors?

What model Arduino are you using?

Thanks.. Tom... :+1: :coffee: :australia:

So i can run 2 Motors independently from each other ? Which Arduino board is best to use. Thanks for your answers jhaine.

https://www.amazon.de/Spektrum-11-1V-2200mAh-Smart-Battery/dp/B07QGF92KX i would use this batterys as a power supply and i dont know which arduino is best for controlling BLDC Motors

That battery is 11.1v but the motor needs 7.4v so it is not suitable.

Almost any Arduino would work, a classic Nano probably a good choice as it has 5v logic levels.
