I am new to this , It seems wrong to run such a motor on a small driver
driver :ULN2003 Stepper Motor Driver - Elecrow
motor:http://www.pbclinear.com/Download/DataSheet/Stepper-Motor-Support-Document.pdf
I tried searching a bit, found a thread saying not to do it , i'm unsure so i came here .
Thanks yall
Edit:I'm not using it for projects or anythign at all, I'm only learning on it.
so im not asking if it is the best use of it, Im asking will it break/curropt from using it briefly to learn on it? simple 360 rotation codes
No, those motors are all 2+A bipolar. Best driven with industrial stepper driver unit as 2A
is rather beyond single chip solutions. (The exception being things like the TB6600 with
massive heatsinks).
The ULN2003/ULN2803 can drive only unipolar (5/6/8 wire motors) steppers of about 0.4A or less.
Here's one of many:
Thannk you both! thanks a lot.
I'm still learning here so pardon my stupid question.
Thanksd again
The question wasn't stupid - you asked before buying the wrong thing! Some people buy first and
ask later...
