Can I setup a claw machine to be moved with a keyboard?

Hey, guys new to this! I want to see, if anyone could give me some advices on where to start with this type of project I would like to try. I want to be able to move my claw machine with my keyboard .

How is your claw machine controlled right now?
If you get access to the control panel inside, what type of sensors (switches, pots...) do you find there?

You have the circuit at hand, you have to find the wires that connect the joystick and button to the controller. Then find out whether the signals are analog (potentiometers) or digital (switches).

I'm new to this, but any other advice how to figure that out? Do you think this will be something easy to setup? Specially if I'm trying to used it threw my computer?

You should know how to measure voltage.

And you should know how to document EACH step, so you can reverse it if you see smoke!
