Hi i'm new to these kinds of things. I was just wondering if I can use other programming languages besides C/C++. I'm used to programming with java and it would be really great if I can use it instead of C. Thanks!
Two possible answers for you:
- Yes, but it's no easy and learning C++ is faster than making it work.
- No, except if you put a lot of work into it usually not worth investing.
Choose the one you prefer.

You could use assembly, but I would just stick to C++.
If you know java, the transition to C/C++ will not be that difficult.

You can, you just ignore the ++ bit of C++ and are left with C. You have no need to delve into classes if you don't want, just use what you would use in C.
Mike,
he wants to use Java instead of C.

Yes sorry, it's too early in the morning. :-[
Did you know that C# is called "I can't believe it's not Java"
So the simple answer is that if you can get a compiler for it then you can, it's a big if.
ok. tnx a lot for the answers guys. appreciate it.
