Can I use WiFi and Sd-card on the same project?

I have an UNO with SD-card/Interface Shield from DFRobot. I would like to start experimenting with WiFi using a shield e.g. CUHead wifi shield.

But I think the SD and the WiFi use the same set of pins, i.e. 10, 11, 12, 13

How does one resolve that? Is it a problem I should know about before I buy the WiFi Shield?

Geoff

Yes it is a problem, you need to know if both use these SPI pins at 3V3 or 5V. If they both use it at the same voltage you can parallel up the data and clock signals and just have the enable line separate for each of the modules. This will mean rewriting the code for one of them to use the alternate enable line. If you are not comfortable with this then hold off getting one of them until you are.

Thank you for that, Mike. It looks as though both the cards use 5V but I’ll have to get further advice on changing the CS-pin. My local Arduino vendor will probably be able to help.
