can i wake arduino(battery powered) with signal from zigbee or xbee?

is it possible? does anyone have an example

ive searched everywhere and i am beginning to think not possible

i can power with usb but i want to use battery only last longer than 1 day

Let's think about this. In order for the XBee to wake the Arduino, the XBee would have to be awake. Since the XBee uses far more current than the Arduino, you won't make the battery last significantly longer by sleeping the Arduino. Sleeping the XBee would significantly cut battery consumption. But, then the XBee can't listen when it is asleep.

What is the point of the project? Is the XBee listening, or is it's primary role to send information when something happens?

Maybe you can!!

if you build an easy RC external circuit module, you can send a pulse with it to make an interrupt to the ATmega and then wakeup both, the atmega and then the xbee module.

It´s only an idea that would help you
