can L3g4200D gyro handle 5V SPI?

Hello everyone.
In the project I am working on, I use a L3g4200D gyroscope that has to be powered with 3.3V. I don't see any logic level converter on it so I was wondering if it is safe to hook it directly to the 5V pins of the Arduino for SPI communication pins.
