Can not get H7 board files to install

I have looked through the forum before posting this.

The Board Manager will not complete the process of installing the files for the PORTENTA H7 board.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, followed the thread on deleting the "packages" directory and then retrying the process to install the board files. Every single time an error and it stops.

I normally use the DUE board and can load the board files for it without any issue.

Guidance on how to get this completed will be greatly appreciated.

Hi @ericmoven. Please do this:

  • Close all Arduino IDE windows.
  • Start the Arduino IDE.
  • Tools > Board > Boards Manager
  • After you get the error message, click the "Close" button.
  • Click on the black console window at the bottom of the Arduino IDE window.
  • Press Ctrl+A to select all the text.
  • Press Ctrl+C to copy the selected text to the clipboard.
  • Paste the copied text into a reply here, using code tags (</> button on the toolbar).

That might provide some information that we can use to help you.
