Can not update Melzi V2.05 board with Arduino 1.8.8 but can update it with 1.06

To All;
I am trying to update the firmware of my TronXY 3D printer that has Melzi V2.05 board with a Atmega1284P chip on it. I an clear the chip and reinstall V.91 or repetier using Arduino 1.0.6 but can not install the firmware using 1.8.8. I am using an ISP in both cases as the board does not have a bootloader on it. Is there some settings in 1.8.8 that need to be set to do the same thing as Arduino version 1.0.6?

If you have any suggestions, beside getting a new board, please let me know. Thanks Richard

Please do this:

  • File > Preferences > Show verbose output during: > compilation (uncheck) > upload (check) > OK
  • Do the upload
  • After the upload fails you'll see a button on the right side of the orange bar "Copy error messages". Click that button.
  • Paste the error messages in a reply here USING CODE TAGS (</> button on the forum toolbar).

Which ISP are you using?
