Can serial line be shared by two identical displays (local and remote)

Simple question. Can I connect two similar/identical serial displays in parallel so that they use the same arduino data pin to display identical information? This is to allow me to set-up a "remote" display (only 5 to 10 feet away) to duplicate the closer "local" one. My thinking is that I can so long as there is no significant voltage drop down the wire connecting the arduino pin to the first display and from there to the second display.

I did a similar thing and it worked. The distance of both displays was in my case almost identical.

possible problem: longer wires need lower baud rates. so if it doesn't work try lowering the BR.

Thanks Rob! That is good to hear.
