I live in a country with non-polarized plugs, so the any device does not have a well-defined phase and neutral.
I am building a switchable outlet (for controlling an air humidifier, but I want it safe for general purpose) with an SSR (the omnipresent Omron thingies).
I wonder if I should break both lines - on the one hand, I wonder if there is a situation where I need it for safety, on the other hand, I wonder if the minimum load of SSR poses a problem.
How do comercial timers and remotely solved outlets solve this, usually?
