I have a project, in the end i want to have 4 dc motors that i can just turn on/off, i don't want to control the speed.
The things i have:
- 4 dc motors
- a battery pack, 4x AA
- 4 PN2222 transistors
- 4 1n4001 diodes
The stuf got in my mail today, so i just want to test 1 motor. I looked all over the internet but i don't know how to hook it up just so i can turn a motor on or off.

You need to find the stall-current of the motors in order to know how much current the driver
will need to supply. I'll assume your motors are 6V and small - simply clamp the output shaft with
pliers and measure the current one takes from the battery pack while stalled (don't do this for long
Each switching device must survive that level of current for short periods at least... If that current
is larger than your transistors can take you'll need different transistors...
