I have been trying to design and build such an oscilloscope with little success. Software using Arduino IDE or Micropython would be appreciated.

So do we say. Forum is not a free give away code shop. You make the code or You can post in the section for paid work and pay someone interested in making code.

Yet you have not shown any software or hardware efforts, asked where you might be going wrong, or how to fix it.

You just want someone to design, debug and give you a working solution, from scratch, for free?

Show us the wiring diagrams and code you have so far, then we can evaluate where you are at.

Not sure what you mean by that. AFAIK, my mid-level scope is sort of built around an Android phone. I have no idea, but someone who does has explained it to me that way.

That sounds like an interesting project that could be very useful. However, you need to keep in mind that we are not a free design or code-writing service. We’re more than happy to help with your design or code, but we need you to make an initial attempt. Please design and write your code, then post it along with an annotated schematic and an explanation of what’s not working properly. There is also a for hire section if you want to pay for it. The best way would be to break into sections and debug each section at a time then combine them.

1. **Show Your Work First:** Before asking for assistance, make an attempt to design or write the code yourself. Share your work along with details about what isn’t working. That includes a preliminary schematic that you drew. The only bad schematic is the one that is not drawn!
2. **Provide Clear Documentation:** Since we can’t see your project, share an annotated schematic (best) or a clear drawing of your setup. Clear Pictures are welcome, but avoid using Fritzing diagrams as they are wiring diagrams, not schematics, and are not ideal for troubleshooting.
3. **Include Technical Details:** If there is specific hardware involved, include links to technical information. There are often many versions of similar components, so precise details are essential. I will assume the processor is a UNO. Many times the processor is stated as ESP32, there are many, please state which one and post a link to it.
4. **Reference Resources:** For additional help, check out useful links and tutorials: [Useful Links on Arduino Forum](https://forum.arduino.cc/t/useful-links-check-here-for-reference-posts-tutorials/370268). Of course one of the better sources of information (in my opinion) is the Arduino Cookbook. Skim it cover to cover and stop on any project that interests you.

Railroader: Please accept my apology. I was trying to solve how to go about getting a working dual trace oscilloscope sketch and I made the wrong choice. I am very sorry.

I have tried to get such an oscilloscope sketch working for the past six weeks using Instructables and wide variety of web postings for same. They all failed.

These are big sketches with main programs having up to 700 lines of code, in a folder with lines to other support sketches. I did not want to send such large files into the Forum when asking for help.

I finally found one sketch which compiles, but does not execute, a problem which I do not know how to solve. If I sent the file folder, zipped, into the Forum is it likely that you or someone else could help me?

Best wishes with deep regrets

Van\_Der\_Decken: Please accept my apology. I was trying to solve how to go about getting a working dual trace oscilloscope sketch and I made the wrong choice. I am very sorry that I chose this path.

I have written working code for a simple dual oscilloscope which works. However, I have tried to get an oscilloscope sketch with much more complex sketch working for the past six weeks using Instructables and wide variety of web postings for same. They all failed.

These are big sketches with main programs having up to 700 lines of code, in a folder with lines to other support sketches. I did not want to send such large files into the Forum when asking for help, so unfortunately I chose this regrettable path when asking for help.

I finally found one sketch which compiles, but does not execute, a problem which I do not know how to solve. If I sent the file folder, zipped, into the Forum is it likely that you or someone else could help me?

Best wishes with deep regrets

Zipped folders can contain malware. When you use the \< CODE/ \> or IDE/Edit/Copy for forum the code is inside a 'container' and takes up very little screen space. Use that. HOWEVER, if the project is a scope, then the sketch does not work; it will be very difficult or impossible to resolve without the identical hardware. This is a super advanced project. What are your credentials that suggest you can do this?

Yes of course.

No, don't zip.

This is not a new project. It has been asked here before. You could search forum using the tab "Search Forum" up to the right in this screen. Look at the end of the topics, solved or not solved. Don't spend time reading every post.

Hopefully You find something there. "Destructables" doesn't have good reputation here.

If You could brake down the code in blocks, flow chart, and split the task into smaller parts it would help.

First is reading the signal, and at controlled intervalls. Verify it.

Presenting the result is another matter. Verify it.

Eventually some "between" logic exist.

Good Morning Railroader! I got my sketch to compile and to load into the Pico 2W. I am now down to 2 1/2 pages of error messages. After I continue to work it over, can I send the sketch to you for your comments and help at the end of the day?

That tells the code didn't compile and didn't download.

Use code tags and post the error report, as a beginning.

Railroader: Got the code down to the point where I get just two error messages, as noted below. The Main sketch and the side sketch, Touch\_calibrate, apparently are fighting as to which one can use the Setup statement. Can you tell me how to "straighten out" the Touch\_calibrate sketch,?

Best wishes

It seems that these sketches must compile separately. Leave only one .ino file in the folder and try

Tried that and all hell broke loose. I suppose that I could define the Touch Calibration code as a function.

We'll see.

Best Regards

Well done.

I see other helpers have good suggestions.

You can do it this way, but it's a much more difficult and time-consuming way. Furthermore, touch calibration is typically performed once a new display is installed and then no longer required. Why include it in the main code?

At some point you must post your code in \< **code** \> tags.

All our Crystal balls get's Calibrated in the first week of every Month.
